The performance and the concept of the play specially written for it were based on the theatre principles of the famous French theatre master Antonin Artaud (1896–1948), his creative method and the first play, “The Jet of Blood”. A play by the French artist, never staged in Lithuania, presents a fantastic course of creation and destruction (self-destruction) of man and the world. Meanwhile, Naubertas Jasinskas examines the impermanence of modern human identity.
Jasinskasʼ play was created with the help of various images of a modern person and family. Images are inspired by the works of Artaud, Pasolini, Carse, Kennedy, Ross, Coel and Sabolius.
Performance analyses the interaction between identity and the daily influences that form it. Monotony and routine are examined through images and sensations. These states become the basis of the action; the characters of the play experience them in a surreal comic world. The audience is invited to change the perspective we perceive ourselves, to reject the limited perceptions of meaning and purpose raised or imposed by ourselves.
