“For ‘TheATRIUM’ International Theatre Festival, I have chosen two accents: brilliant green and faith. For installations and performances, I have chosen spaces where, in a certain sense, the transitive action of time, the most sacred moment, takes place. Therein, everyone gets involved, oversteps the line with their own desire to see, and leaves being marked. Visual, ritual roles involve and expose the viewer. Each of them is happy to perform the coronation of the executioner and the “saint”. It definitely requires wine and anointing, like a sacrament.
The facade of Klaipėda Drama Theatre, is also marked by history with the indelible stain, but not so excep-tional that Pope could not appear on the balcony of the theatre.

Brilliant green – a tool of attacks against the truth and, to some extent, light. In the countries of the East-ern Bloc, the disdainful tactic of attacking other (democratic) opinions by dousing them with a preparation of brilliant green, is still popular. It is used to treat skin abrasions, scratches, and surrounding intact skin, applied after an injury and then, as needed, once or more times a day until the wounds heal.
Faith is the church, ritual flashes of light, though the truth lies somewhere beyond. There is a lot of dark-ness and wounds in that light: constant scandals about sexual abuse, power, fakeness, etc. It includes many aspects of cultural and social politics – all that has to do with ourselves.”
